(PORTLAND, Ore. MAY 22, 2012) The Art Institute of Portland will hold its 14th annual student-run fashion show and silent auction, Dressing Rooms, at Pure Space on Saturday, June 2, 2012.
The annual runway exhibition is created, produced and managed by students from the Apparel Design, Apparel Accessory Design, Interior Design, Design Management and Fashion Marketing programs at The Art Institute of Portland. Proceeds from the fashion show and silent auction benefit the Creative Arts Scholarship Fund, a scholarship program benefiting students currently enrolled at The Art Institute of Portland managed by The Education Foundation.
This premiere red carpet event will feature a VIP cocktail reception, a runway display of collaborative works from students in the Fashion and Interior Design departments, and the annual showcase of Senior Collections. The collaboration between the Fashion and Interior Design student teams have resulted in one-of-a-kind garments and coordinating interior installations that embody one of Portland's many unique neighborhoods.
To date, The Education Foundation has awarded approximately $130,000 to students attending The Art Institute of Portland with 100 percent of those dollars being raised in Portland.
Tickets to Dressing Rooms are available online at: http://thefineartoffashion.org/. Pure Space is located at 1315 NW Overton Street in Portland. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with the Silent Auction and the Fashion Show will begin at 8:00 p.m.
